Capcom’s “Onimusha,” the landmark survival action video game series set in Japan’s feudal Sengoku period, is being adapted into an anime series that will start streaming from Thursday, November 2, only on Netflix. Directed by Takashi Miike, this ambitious series will focus on Miyamoto Musashi, who is modeled after Toshiro Mifune, the Japanese film icon known around the globe. 1. If only Yoshiaki Kawajiri was directing this. For those that don’t know, he’s the man who was behind Wicked City, Ninja Scroll and Vampire Hunter D. If this was made by him with that 80’s aesthetic, I’d be all in.

Netflix, please contact Kawajiri and see if you can get him to direct something or maybe even produce an original. It’s a good business move.

  2. ugly computer animations i knew the day would come where a new generation of "anime fans" would accept something this ugly as anime

  3. I've not watched anything anime related since Ghost in the Shell. This looks like it be just the right time to start again. I've been waiting for something like this.

  4. sooo t heyre changing everything? Even though they didnt do that with Castlevania? Doesnt give me hope for Devil May Cry now… also how did we ge tthis before DMC and why have I not even heard of this being a thing before just now?

  5. I just wish Netflix would stop with this type animation it reminds me of some PlayStation 2 graphic or characters look like jimmy neutron, just make actual anime graphics that people actually don’t mind looking at, this graphic absolute kills me, it’s not good nor will it ever be, look at the top anime’s of today they do not look this bad and bulgy. Best thing you guys have going is Castlevania and that’s it. The movements of this though is on par with doodle bob, DO BETTER NETFLIX ANIME, THIS IS NOT ANIME IN THE SLIGHTEST

  6. "chose your weapon, i dont intend to hold back…your disregard for time is already insulting enough" "if you insist…" grabs a boat paddle
