Kei's touch is great as usual, just a bit slow from the knee injury – seems chasing winners is impossible at the moment. Credits to Ofner as he was able to generate winners despite Kei giving constant low flat returns
Hopefully Kei will be back in form by the North American swing.
Its crazy how tennis is a game of milliseconds. you can tell Nishikori has lost half a step when recovering for balls as he's older now and been through injuries. Same with Murray. That half a step has such a huge impact on being able to play at the highest level.
In his prime, Nishikori made a living painting lines with faultless technique. Here's hoping we can see him back at his best.

試合後、ギリギリ楽しめなかったってコメントが、かえって嬉しく聞こえた。

最近のトップ１０の試合見てても出来てないよなーってショットがこの角度のあるバックハンドの切り返し。みんなとりあえずディフェンシブに真ん中に返しちゃう。フェデラーと錦織は前に入ってこれが打てるから美しい。

ストロークはほぼ問題ない。
ネットやドロップのタッチセンスは相変わらず一級品。
弱点は相変わらずフリーポイントがほとんどないサーブ。あと復帰したてでフットワークがまだまだ戻ってない感じ。
でも怪我なくシーズン通せたらTOP20には戻るんでないかなと。なんたって2018年復帰チャレンジャー1回戦負けから、その年のツアーファイナルに出た超人ですから。

They really need to build ultra high-tech ultra modern fully retracting roof covers for all tennis courts. By now, with all the incredible technology available, this really shouldn't be a problem. C'mon now, they got robots operating on mars, international space stations, multi-billion dollar ultra sophisticated military weaponry, etc. There are no excuses for the lack of ultra modern ultra high tech recreational facilities, globally!!!
