待って、このMV初期ガンダムのタイトルの色(オレンジと赤)になってるものがめちゃくちゃ多い・・・なんなら0:25で出てくる「PLAZMA」の文字も現れるときと消えるときが一瞬オレンジ色と赤色になってる。

曲作る時に米津魂的なものを、制御しきれてない感が凄い笑笑笑
彼はどの曲も作るの楽しかったって言うけれど、この曲はもっとわかりやすく、楽しかっただろうなぁ。なんも根拠なんてないんですが、感じた感想！

電子音は、音が軽く感じて今まで好きで無かったのだけど米津玄師の『Plazma⚡』は、気持ちいい。最＆高です👍『BOW AND ARRO』のフルも早く聴きたい気持ちあるけど、暫くこの曲を満喫したい🎸🥁 テンション上がり放しです！

映画みてないのですが不思議な映像ですね。これが愛だと知ったという歌詞は愛とは？の答えに米津さんはたどり着いたのかな？愛の定義は難しすぎるけど自分なりの答えを持って強くいたいなと思いました。

Hi Kenshi,
You must be so busy with the tour. Hope you are having fun and taking care of yourself. I liked this MV—the moving water, light, space, sky, clouds, and that boy Kenshi with the same hairstyle. 😂 He’s so cute! And Kenshi in the chubby, bubbly spacesuit was a highlight for me. I love it when you don’t have to be so focused on looking perfect, like when you wear heavy powder. (I don’t wear makeup myself and, as I’ve grown older, I’ve embraced the markings of my years on Earth. I’d rather spend time writing a comment like this for you than painting my face. That’s how I choose to use my time, for example. If I returned to Japan, I wonder if I’d feel like an outcast without makeup. You know, trees become more beautiful as they age. Mature trees, like oaks, have a beauty and purpose that younger trees don’t—they live for hundreds of years and provide so much to the ecosystem. I want to grow old like those trees. )

Usually, I am not so big on MVs because
they often feel confining. Listening to a song while holding the lyrics in hand creates a much more expansive world. MVs narrow things down to specific visuals and concepts. Maybe that’s why I prefer simpler MVs or anime-style visuals—like your Donut Hole MV. That one managed to tell a complete and compelling story in just a few minutes. That was a feat! 👏 I also enjoy listening to this song just with your song jacket illustration of the two girls. Those illustrations are always a treat. Thank you.

For me as a kid, Gundam was all about plamodels, toys, characters, and songs (「燃え上がれ燃え上がれガンダム」「アムロお前のふるさとは〜」). I had no idea how serious the story was until I revisited it a few years ago. I couldn’t believe it was marketed to children while tackling themes like war crimes, corruption, forced child labor (teenagers sent into battle), violence, and psychological trauma. Somebody commented, "Finally, a song for war crimes and forced child labor," and I thought that was right on.
These are such heavy themes to address in a pop song, and I’m not sure this one fully conveys that complexity—though I recognize it’s a big challenge. I haven’t seen the new Gundam film, so I can’t say for sure. As a standalone song, though, it’s nice.

One of my favorite parts of the lyrics is:
あの日君の放ったボールが額に当たって
倒れる刹那僕は確かに見た
ネイビーの空を走った飛行機雲
これが愛だと知った

I love how these words slow down a fleeting moment, capturing it so vividly. I wonder if there’s a scene like this in the film.

I also saw someone comment that this song feels a little reminiscent of Yoasobi’s Blessing, another Gundam song. I love that song. Its positive tone paired with ominous undertones (I’m not sure what you’d call the sound) felt genius for portraying Gundam’s world. I haven’t seen the series it was made for either, but I can appreciate the music itself.

I’m looking forward to seeing you in New York this April—or at least I hope so. I’m checking ticket prices every day on different apps. I really hope they go down. I love the location. But I can’t pay more than $300 (fees included). I’d be embarrassed to share with you if I paid more than that for your concert, throwing away all the other responsibilities I should be attending to in my life. I also read that, unlike Japan, there are no regulations on resale tickets in the US. That explains the crazy prices in the thousands. Death to corporate capitalism, preying on hardworking everyday people!

It’s been a dream of mine to sit down with you and have a real conversation, like old friends. I know the chances are slim to non-existent, but I keep dreaming of that.

And … glad I remembered to say this, I love the piano part of the song.
