Tragic News: Japanese Idol Linked to aespa Plagiarism Passes Away Latest post and Updates on Jun 2025
Mizuki Itagaki, a former Japanese idol and actor, has sadly passed away at the age of 24. His family stated that he had been suffering from a mental illness since last year and went missing at the end of January 2025. His body was reportedly discovered by police recently in Tokyo.
Itagaki was a former member of the group M!LK, which recently faced accusations of plagiarizing aespa’s song “Whiplash” with their March 2025 release “Ii jan / EJan.” M!LK has not released any official statement regarding these allegations.
After leaving M!LK in 2020, Mizuki Itagaki pursued an acting career, appearing in various dramas and films. His family has expressed their gratitude for the support he received from fans and those who helped him, stating that he passed away in an “unfortunate accident” just as he was positively moving towards resuming his career.
