Scotland feeling Kenshi san lol. Bagpipes 😉. It's not yet new year here but in about an hour ☺. Happy new year to you and to all people who live in Asia and Australia 🎆🎇✨🎉🎊🍾🥂. I've checked my favorite cinema today and this movie should be played starting January 9, so im going to celebrate my birthday and watch it while eating lots of popcorn and tortillachips 😁😂. I drove two hours to watch the film with my son on Thursday. Pat on my shoulder for my dedication ! 😂 It’s been a long while since I was at a film theater last time and thought it was interesting how cushy the seat was and that we even had a foot rest. I don’t know if this is the norm fora theater these days here and in Japan. I’ve caught a cold over Christmas and was feeling rather beat up after 2 hours of drive so I was SO happy about the footrest.

Now as for the film and the music .. I have a lot to say. I can write a page or two about my reactions – both positive and negative ones. But let me just focus on two items related to Kenshi’s music.

1. Before I watched then film I didn’t understand why he picked a seemingly unassuming and unspectacular scene of a boy studying at a desk as the thumbnail for the song. But now I do!

2. The music at the end roll – I loved it even before I was at the theater, so I have to admit I was a little offended 😂to see how the audience here quickly stood up and started to leave as soon as the song started – oh come on Miyazaki-san, just a blue background for the end credits roll? I really wanted to continue to sit and admire the music … with some gorgeous animation showing snippets of the boy’s life back in Tokyo or something, anything, so we could all stay and sit through and enjoy the song. I can’t be the only one who felt this way!

Anyway my son and I listened to various songs by Kenshi on the way back home for another two hours. I am so glad they I went to watch the film with my son and Kenshi gave us the opportunity so thank you Kenshi.. I would write in Japanese but I am a little shy. Happy New Year! Kotoshi mo ganbatte kudasai. Kenkoo ni ki o tsuke nagara.

「僕が〜♪」が出てくる前準備が美しい映像と前奏で完璧に出来ていたので、気持ち的にスカっと空振りというか(「僕」はどこ行ったんだよ…)と瞬間思ってしまた😅ﾔﾀﾞｰ

色が深くなる､いろんなことを考えてしまうな✨

白黒から色付くのいい
