  1. I used to like Street Fighter II, but Street Fighter III didn’t suit me, so I stopped playing fighting games for a long time.
I didn’t even notice when Street Fighter IV was released.

One day, I happened to come across a video on YouTube of Daigo Umehara playing Street Fighter IV.
I immediately went to an arcade and started playing Street Fighter IV.
After that, I watched many videos of his high-level gameplay.

This is how I got into fighting games again.

  3. You'd think he'd (and i WISH he would) use his awesome powers of learning and mastering a skill into learning English. I dunno I just feel like he'd be able to talk properly to his peers and friends like Justin Wong etc. without the need for translator. The internet is English innit. Most of the world learn English now at school. Its the lingua franca of the world now. If there's a language the whole world should speak its English. Hollywood and the best TV shows (GoT, Breaking Bad, Lost etc etc.) and coding uses English terms too. Like I said the Internet is English YES you can translate everything but its a PAIN in the ASS like if I went to a Japanese website I couldnt be arsed translating everything. The world is learning English which as an English person im like THANK GOD, because i SUCKED at learning German at school. I mean I can count in German hahaha nut not much more. I really respect people who take the time to learn English coz i know its so hard. And they often say "Sorry for my bad English" while speaking better English than most English people! 😂 Seems that isnt the case in Japan for some reason. They've always been very insular which is a shame. Also i HATE reading subtitles hahaha Like you cant watch the action on screen properly and read at the bottom at the same time. Its annoying af. But I genuinely think learning English would help him so much in America at tourneys and with Sponsors etc. And interacting with his fans etc. He has a GIGANTIC English speaking fanbase.

  7. Sadly, he's no longer the beast as he keeps losing against new talents. The old players seemed to have stopped training hard after they earned decent money from sponsorships, YouTube channels and other media
